Biography

Award-winning advertising creative with a strongly developed sense for the motives that drive the behaviour of people, brands and organisations. 27 Years of experience in creating campaigns for a wide variety of companies have given him a unique insight in the interaction between societal trends, company cultures and personal objectives. Maarten continuously reflects on the role that the marketing- and advertising industry (and he personally) plays in the mental fabric of society, as is documented in Brand Sanity (www.brandsanity.nl) an essay he published in the spring of 2017.

Maarten is married and has four sons.
