I believe we should invest more in talents of young people and make them stronger by sharing our own experiences.
Rob Oudkerk became known as a politician and general practitioner. He has served as a member of the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA), he became one of the most successful Amsterdam party leader and served as Alderman (wethouder) for the municipality of Amsterdam. His portfolio consisted of: employment and income, education, youth, diversity and urban policy. He is currently active as a radio host, writer and political commentator.
Rob is sharp in questioning authorities and rules that doesn’t serve people. The past two years he made a daily radio show ‘1 In The Street’. With a bus they drove all over the Netherlands to find background stories and facts about politics and society. Rob is a brilliant interviewer, highly skilled to get the story behind the story. His main focus has always been the public domain and the happiness of ordinary people. Oudkerk still advises municipalities on social and youth policy. He was lecturer of lifestyle change at The Hague University, where he constantly addressed health-issues, like obesity. Rob is married and father of two children.Go back
